Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Samurai Jack since the announcement of it’s revival last year, after being cancelled in 2004. A teaser was showed off last month which had internet fanboys fired up. Samurai Jack tells the tale of a time travelling prince, who is after the warlord, Aku, hellbent on taking him down and restoring peace to the world.
This time around the animated series will have a 10 episode run, which will end the story once and for all. Talking with show creator Genndy Tartakovsky, he shares that the final season is a bit of a “tearjerker.” “It’s nice that I’m able to return to the series, but this is farewell. Glad that I’m finally able to finish the story,” he said. “I’ve been waiting for this for awhile, it was a bit difficult, but the ending might have some people weeping.”
